Brahmasthan

Residential Plotted Community Landscape
Warangal

Brahmasthan is a landscape intervention for a 10-acr gated community in Warangal, a Tier 2 city where such typologies are still emerging. The project aims to foster a sense of community through design intervention keeping in mind the overall context. As residents transition into this new setting, the design acts as a catalyst to nurture connections and collective identity. The intervention centres around a linear green strip, also the central park that runs through the heart of the community. This space is envisioned as a sight of leisure and engagement for all age groups. Young adults enjoy outdoor sports like badminton and basketball, toddlers have tot-lots, and elders find solace in flower gardens, yoga zones, and shaded lawns. Seating for the elderly is thoughtfully dispersed, with ergonomic and tactile considerations. The design language emphasises—subtle gestures that dissolve boundaries and invite interaction. It balances the ephemeral and the ethereal, crafting a landscape that transcends form and evokes belonging. Through intimate and collective spatial experiences, Brahmasthan becomes a poetic gesture that binds diverse lives into a shared rhythm of pause, play, and reflection. In this liminal space, where new homes take shape, the landscape redefines community as a fluid, living experience—one that resonates beyond the built environment and into the heart of human connection.
