The Oasis School curriculum has successfully fostered the belief that joy of childhood and the joy of learning can go hand in hand. However, the school has struggled with its own sense of identity architecturally and needs outdoor landscape enhancement. The project was intended to enhance that identity and provide the urban campus with much needed green space for recreation, discovery, play and dining.The landscape designed for the school is a large-scale improvement project that created a distinct entrance for students and parents, a new central Assembly ground, more green space with connecting path. site topography is an advantage to create a series of open spaces with ample seating encasing various activities. There has been segregation of play areas with meandering pathways that link the campus together. In addition, the campus expansion program called for shaded seating areas, an amphitheatre and new play features. The result was a tactile, naturalistic environment designed for children, an urban oasis with opportunities for outdoor classroom activity and individual discovery. The former main entry has main parking adjacent,restricting the vehicular movement along the overall site. Beyond the drive way lies courts under tree canopies that function as waiting areas and outdoor dinning activities. The main playground is segregated to a gallery seating on one side and an enclosed space on the other side that helps organise summer camps. The two zones are strategically located to improve the usability of the space. The overall landscape terminates into playcourts and tot lot area. Lush landscape including softscape will be included alongside the walkways connecting the entire campus.
